10 key points from Blackpool masterplan that will 'transform seaside town in five years'
Plans to rejuvenate Blackpool town centre have been given the go-ahead as part of a five year action plan.
More than 100 proposals are included in the document approved by the council’s executive committee, ranging from introducing electric bikes for hire to launching an arts festival. The action plan, which will be reviewed annually, comes as multi-million pound town centre investment in a new cinema, Wilko store and Holiday Inn hotel is set to be completed this year. to implement town centre improvements including in street furniture, planting, better lighting and signage.
