Russian state news agency Tass said Prigozhin, who enacted a failed uprising against Vladimir Putin two months ago, may have been onboard the jet
Ten people have been killed after a private jet linked to Yevgeny Prigozhin, the exiled leader of the Wagner mercenary group, crashed in Russia’s Tver region, north of Moscow.
Russia’s state news agency Tass reported the crashed jet was on its way from Moscow to St Petersburg. The jet was reportedly registered to Yevgeny Prigozhin, who enacted a failed uprising against Vladimir Putin two months ago. Tass said that Russia’s Federal Agency for Air Transport had indicated that Prigozhin was listed as one of those onboard the jet – though this has not yet been confirmed.
