So much choice
The only thing that beats a good roast dinner on a Sunday afternoon is one where you don't have to do the washing up afterwards. There are lots of great places to pop out for a roast or a carvery in Nottingham from the city centre to beyond but it can be tricky to choose just one.
When it comes to the secret of their success, business owner Theo Tsiolas said it's all about fresh produce and sourcing locally. While the menu changes from time to time at The Tailor's Arms, you can't beat the classics. 3 - Fothergills Another traditional pub scored highly on Google Reviews for its roast dinner offerings. Fothergills can be found by Nottingham Castle on Castle Road. The extensive Sunday menu is a hit scoring 4.3 stars out of five.
5 - Holly Tree Farm The pub can be found on Lawrence Drive, in the Nuthall area, a 20-minute drive away from the city centre. It's part of the same pub chain as Riverside Farm so the menu operates in a similar style with plenty of carvery options on offer. A visitor wrote: 'Great; crowd, staff, music, beer, grub and prices!' as a review of The Golden Fleece and they aren't wrong with prices starting from £12.50. It scored 4.3 out of five on Google Reviews.
There are plenty of non-roast dishes on display for anyone who fancies a break away from meat such as baked salmon fillet or cod with mushy peas or samphire. Not forgetting the all-important chips on the side. The pub scored an impressive 4.2 on Google reviews with customers stating that they thought it was 'fabulous' before finishing their meal with a cup of locally brewed 200 Degrees coffee.
