The area’s only five-star hotel – which frequently welcomes celebrity guests – will, however, continue to operate as normal as a buyer is sought.
Plush Mar Hall Golf and Spa Resort in Bishopton confirmed it called in the administrators earlier this week, placing almost 120 jobs at risk.
A statement on the resort’s website said: “On August 22, 2023, Andrew Dolliver, Kris Aspin and Joseph Luke Charleton, of EY-Parthenon’s Turnaround and Restructuring Strategy team, were appointed as joint administrators of Mar Estates Limited, trading as Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort. “The resort continues to trade on a business-as-usual basis. Existing bookings and gift vouchers remain valid. Any customer queries should be directed to [email protected].”
