'Whilst his mum was de-stressing after a hard days work, he had taken the keys and went for a spin uninsured and unlicensed.'
The incident happened in the Ballycastle area on Monday evening, July 24.
"After a day at work you come home and go upstairs for a relaxing bath to de-stress. Whilst getting dressed you hear banging at the front door. You come down to answer the door and to your surprise there’s a Police Officer standing there. You’re confused and bewildered as they ask you, "Where has your car been today?"
"Now to most reading this you’ll be thinking well that’s no big deal. Well what if we told you this young boy was only 15 years old?! Whilst his mum was de-stressing after a hard days work, he had taken the keys and went for a spin uninsured and unlicensed. Not only this, but he thought he could pull the wool over the Police’s eyes by putting his hand across his face as he drove past. Unfortunately for this young man, we are well acquainted.
