Sad news in Donegal this morning
A 21-year-old woman has died after being hit by a Garda car in Co Donegal in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The road remains closed this morning while technical examinations are carried out, the Irish Mirror reports. The body of the female pedestrian remained at the scene this morning and the incident has been reported to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission.A statement from An Garda Síochána reads: "Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Ludden, Buncrana, Co. Donegal in the early hours of this morning Sunday 21st May, 2023 at approximately 3.15a.m.
"The scene remains closed for a technical examination. The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
