Citizen’s advice Watford has received 72 per cent more calls for advice on fuel debt than last year due to"chronic" cost of living pressures.
Energy regulator Ofgem has confirmed an 80 per cent rise in the energy price cap - the maximum companies can charge - which will mean the average household’s yearly bill will go from £1,971 to £3,549 from October.Citizens Advice Watford says it has seen a 72 per cent year on year rise in the number of people struggling with gas and electricity bills.
