An emergency response was called to a Glasgow river after a woman and her dog became 'stuck'.
A police presence was seen in the Queen Margaret Drive area of the West End at around 7.35pm on Tuesday.Cops confirmed that they had been called to a report of a woman and her dog being 'stuck' by the river.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 7.37pm on Tuesday, July 11 to reports of a person and a dog in difficulty at the River Kelvin, near Great Western Road, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances and water rescue resources to the area where firefighters assisted in the rescue of a woman and her dog who were stuck on a man-made island.
