No woman should be forcibly separated from her baby in order to get well – but that’s exactly what will continue without Government help‘In Northern Ireland, where there are currently no MBU beds whatsoever, we have seen terrible tragedies occur,’ writes Lucy Nichol in Morpeth, Northumberland to spend Christmas Day at home with their family.
Going back to the MBU on the evening of the big day was incredibly tough for the family, but those few hours together meant the world to them – and being close enough for daily visits helped Jess’ recovery enormously.
