Congratulations to all our local winners!
The country's most talented chefs gathered in the city on Sunday to celebrate the Scottish Italian Awards 2022, and a number of local eateries won or came highly recommended.
Popular with some of the city's top footballers and famous faces, La Lanterna on Hope Street won Best Restaurant for the west ofLa Vita Spuntini on Gordon Street took home the gong as the country's favourite Italian business, while Celino's in Partick earned the title for serving up the best pizza and best barista.
Celino's boss Natalino Celino was also presented with a lifetime achievement award, and Tony's Fish and Chip Shop in Coatbridge was crowned the best chippy. A number of other restaurants in and around Glasgow were highly commended, including La Lanterna's West End chain, the Merchant Chippie, and Ristorante Pieno.
