New research has shown that a third of Brits are planning to ditch alcohol this Christmas.
With just days to go until the big day, preparation and planning is firmly underway.
But it seems one in three Brits won’t be indulging in a festive tipple this year. In fact, many will be swapping mulled wine for mocktails. New research has found that 37% will be having a sober Christmas in 2022 – instead opting for alcohol-free drinks to celebrate. The data, carried out by Schweppes, also found that one in four British adults under the age of 40 now consider themselves as tee-total – while 26% of Gen Z and millennials are now completely sober.
Instead of heading to the pub or out to a boozy party, 47% of those who will be alcohol-free this festive season plan to enjoy movie nights, meet friends for a festive coffee , go on shopping trips and enjoy romantic winter walks with their partner .
