Neighbours have since voiced their concerns and have described the section of the road as ‘racetrack‘
Car meets in Nottinghamshire have turned part of the A52 into a ‘racetrack’ where neighbours can hear the 'screeching brakes' and 'speeding' of the cars late at night.
, giving an overview of the problems.Khalid Sharif, has lived in the area for 32 years, he said: “At 2, after 12 O'clock , it’s like a racetrack. I’ve heard squeaking brakes, the cars go up from this roundabout to the other roundabout speeding. In October last year, residents in Edwalton shared their concerns about the same section of the A52 and described it as 'noisy and scary' as cars gathered.
Another nearby resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “It’s frustrating. It’s usually late at night they’ll come and start speeding up and down. For me, I just don’t think it’s safe. Someone could get hurt.”
