An extensive tourism property in Aberfeldy has been bought up by the developers of Taymouth Castle partly to be used for staff accommodation.

Moness Resort will now - in part - be used to house workers for the luxury Taymouth Castle project taking shape in Kenmore.

This company is the new owner of Moness Resort, which has in addition to the hotel and spa, a village of around 106 cottages in the grounds which it will make available as “affordable workforce housing”. DLC made assurances that the deal would not mean job losses, adding: “The Moness Resort will remain open to the public, serving local residents and tourists, and will continue to be run by the current team.”

DLC met with Kenmore and District Community Council yesterday to begin making plans for a meeting with Kenmore residents.“We are committed to the people of this community beyond the Estate and will be hosting a meeting for local residents in the coming weeks,” said Mr O’Donoghue, Taymouth Estate general manager.
