Quite the difference
A self-taught make-up artist from Accrington has gone viral after a video of her transforming into the Grinch amassed more than 33 million views on TikTok.
Her creations have included Shrek, Cruella de Vil, Beetlejuice, Pennywise from Stephen King’s It, and most recently The Grinch. A festive-themed transformation video released before Christmas shows Holly applying green paint and facial prosthetics while miming iconic lines from the hit Jim Carrey film How The Grinch Stole Christmas. It has since been viewed 33.7 million times.
Holly, from Accrington, says: “I love being able to come out of this nervous person called Holly and turn into something evil and pretend to be someone else. My daughter found it hard at first because she didn’t like scary thingAlways a creative child, Holly had early dreams of making a name for herself. She says: “I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but whenever anyone asked me I would say, ‘I’m going to be famous’.
Holly discovered her passion when her mum asked her to take part in a charity event nine years ago. She says: “I’d never face painted anybody in my life. I bought a cheap kit off Amazon and had one week to practise on my one-year-old son and husband.
