The girl was taken to hospital
An air ambulance was deployed to a 'medical emergency' at a Nottinghamshire school. East Midlands Ambulance Service received a call at 11.15am on Wednesday, May 10 reporting a medical emergency at The Oakwood Academy, Bewcastle Road, Warren Hill.
EMAS was unable to disclose the nature of any injuries, but a representative for The Oakwood Academy said a female pupil involved was not seriously injured. They explained the girl was hurt in one of the school's blocks. A crewed ambulance and air ambulance were sent to the school. The girl was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre via land ambulance.An EMAS spokesperson said: "We received a call at 11.15am today, Wednesday, May 10 to The Oakwood Academy, Bewcastle Road, Nottingham.
"The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent a crewed ambulance and the air ambulance was also in attendance. We transported one patient to Queen’s Medical Centre via land ambulance."
