A man was rescued after emergency services were called over 'concerns for his welfare' at Dovestone Reservoir.
Police, firefighters and mountain rescuers were called to the scene in Oldham yesterday . An air ambulance also reportedly landed at the popular beauty spot. Police said an injured 43-year-old man was 'brought down safely by emergency service workers'. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.Pictures showed a number of emergency vehicles stationed near the reservoir yesterday evening. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called to reports of a welfare incident at Dovestones Reservoir.
"Colleagues from NWAS and Mountain Rescue also attended. A 43-year-old man sustained injuries which were not life threatening.The North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have also been contacted for details.Read more of today's top stories here
