Footballer Noah Gesser dies in car crash aged 16 along with his brother
The talented 16-year-old was involved in a serious car accident on Friday evening in Utrecht, a club spokesman has confirmed.Gesser was travelling with his 18-year-old brother when their vehicle collided with a taxi on the United Nations Road in IJsselstein, the club have confirmed.
The driver of the taxi was taken to hospital as a precaution but his injuries are not thought to be serious."Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and relatives." Ajax also said a minute's silence would be held prior to practice matches, players will wear black armbands and flags would be flown at half-mast.
