Nathan Ake reveals first impression of new Man City signing Josko Gvardiol 🤔 mcfc
Nathan Ake has been left impressed by Josko Gvardiol in his first week at the club and believes he is a 'great addition'.
The Blues were hesitant to meet RB Leipzig's demands and eventually worked them down from an £85million-plus-bonuses asking price to a £77.5m fee. Gvardiol arrived last weekend but not in time to make his debut against Arsenal in the Community Shield. When it was pointed out Gvardiol's arrival means there is more competition for him, Ake shrugged it off. "That’s this club," he said. "We have a lot of very good defenders and overall a top team. Hopefully we can build on that again."
