The supermarket giant has said it will open a new shop at Westway Retail Park in Cumbernauld in the run up to the festive period.
The retailer is planning on launched 12 new sites across the UK with its Scottish addition coming as a boost for budget conscious shoppers in Lanarkshire.
It comes after Aldi opened its 1,000th store last month and confirmed a new long-term target of having 1,500 shops in the UK. Which? made the finding after comparing the price of 39 items from every major supermarket to see who came out the cheapest.
