Aldi is forging ahead with plans for a new store for Bourne, creating jobs and offering convenient shopping options
Budget supermarket giant Aldi remains undeterred by local opposition as it forges ahead with ambitious plans to build a new store in Bourne.
The supermarket's plans also include creating 127 parking spaces, with four dedicated electric vehicle charging points. Provisions are also being made for an additional 22 charging points in the future. Adam Botteley, 23, remarked:"It’s such a beautiful area and they want to ruin it with another supermarket that Bourne doesn’t need.The proposed site plan | Image: South Kesteven District Council
In response to these concerns, Aldi has assured residents that the store will be situated at a safe distance from Bourne Wood and will have no adverse impact on the natural habitat.
