The This Morning host has detailed for the first time how former co-star Eamonn supported her after her mum's death
Alison Hammond has detailed for the first time how Eamonn Holmes made a 'touching gesture' as she suffered a devastating loss. The This Morning star's mum tragically passed away from liver and lung cancer in January 2020.
"Thank you mummy for giving me the strength to move forward in the knowledge that you're ok and with God in Heaven now. I will always remember you and try and make you proud. I love you mum." Alison added on Twitter: "RIP my best friend and Living Angel please come to my dreams.
"He did a speech, because my mum was obsessed with Eamonn Holmes, and I asked him if he’d come. He did a speech and came to the funeral, which was lovely." Flying from his native of Jamaica, Cliff showed up at Alison's mum's Birmingham-based home. But it was only during Maria’s pregnancy with Alison that Cliff revealed he was married and had a family.
