All Avanti West Coast services stopped as temperatures soar sparking 'multiple incidents'
Avanti West Coast has stopped all services following multiple incidents as temperatures soar across the UK.
All services for the rest of today- Tuesday July 19- have now been cancelled. Customers with tickets for today can use them tomorrow or Thursday .Refunds are also available for passengers to claim according to the transport provider. Weather experts at the Met Office have issued a 'danger to life' red extreme heat weather warning which is active until midnight. It covers for parts of the county, including Blackburn, Darwen, Accrington, Leyland and Rossendale.
