She'll return with partner Giovanni Pernice next week
Amanda Abbington will miss the Strictly Come Dancing live show on Saturday night 'due to medical reasons', it has been announced.
She added: "Strictly Come Dancing protocols mean that all being well, Amanda and Giovanni will return the following week." It comes after Abbington posted a tribute to actress Haydn Gwynne, who died on Friday after a recent cancer diagnosis, to her Instagram story.Pernice is on the verge of announcing a 'dream' project away from Strictly Come Dancing. It will soon be two years since the Italian pro dancer, having made the final three times before, finally took home the coveted Glitterball trophy, along with Rose Ayling-Ellis.
Things are looking much more promising for Pernice this time round, as, having been paired with Abbington, he looks set to stay in the competition for a while yet. The partnership has led to some impressive scores.
