The Scottish Labour leader will say the SNP has chosen to 'blame the voters' after losing the Rutherglen and Hamilton by-election.
Anas Sarwar will today claim Labour can beat the SNP in seats "across Scotland" at the general election next year.
The Labour candidate exceeded all expectations by securing almost 60 per cent of the vote in the South Lanarkshire constituency, pushing the SNP into distant second on a swing of 20.4 per cent. “So I say to Humza Yousaf: This isn’t about swings or the polls – this is about putting the people of Scotland first.“Every community in Scotland now has the chance to choose change with Scottish Labour.”
The Scottish Labour leader confirmed in an interview with the BBC his party would not push for the Scottish Parliament to hold the powers over immigration.
