She’s the walking antithesis of a LinkedIn post. And for that reason, I’m starting to think she might be the right person for the Top Job. Because she’s an actual, real person.

After years of things going fairly badly politically, it can be tempting to think that anything different must be better, and Rayner is about as different from David Cameron, Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak as it’s possible to be.
