Water not safe for drinking in parts of Lincolnshire 💧
Anglian Water has warned residents in parts of South Kesteven to boil their water before using it.
Customers in Castle Bytham, Little Bytham Toft, Witham on the Hill, Carlby, Corby Glen, Grimsthorpe and the surrounding areas were given the guidance over the weekend. Anglian Water says “a routine test on Friday showed that the water in the area may not be up to our usual high standards.” This applies to using the water for drinking, cooking, preparing food and brushing teeth or giving to pets.A statement on the company’s website says: “As our guidance to keep boiling your water carries on after the weekend, we're working with the schools, nurseries and GP surgeries in the affected area to provide them with bottled water so they can open as normal on Monday morning.”“This takes time and we know it's frustrating; we really appreciate you bearing with us,” the company says.
