Anno 1800 Console Edition is free-to-play for a full week starting today:
launches on Xbox Series X|S because Ubisoft will be making it free to play for a limited time. Between March 16th and March 23rd, players on all platforms can hop into the full experience without stumping up a penny.Ubisoft might have stumbled onto a pretty good marketing ploy here, which is probably a decent metaphor for the deeply strategic gameplay found in Anno 1800.
Anno 1800 is a strategic city-builder in which you become the leader of a growing civilisation, charged with building a functioning metropolis, ensuring its citizens have good trade networks and security. You'll colonise an exotic continent and send expeditions to new lands, but you're not alone — you'll face diplomatic, economic, and military challenges. You'll have a chance to try it for yourself when Anno 1800 drops on Xbox Series X|S on March 16th.
