Fire crews were attacked with bricks as police officers had fireworks launched towards them
It was another chaotic Bonfire Night across Greater Manchester, with fire crews attending more than 200 incidents in the space of just one evening.

Firefighters and officers from Greater Manchester Police also had fireworks and stones thrown at them while responding to an incident at an unauthorised bonfire in Abbey Hey, Gorton. Fire crews also came under attack with bricks in in Little Lever, Bolton. “Sadly, as we have seen in previous years, our crews faced anti-social behaviour and missiles being thrown when responding to incidents. It is completely unacceptable for firefighters to be attacked while doing their job.
