Anti-monarchy protestors are preparing to greet King Charles once again as he arrives at York Minster for a Maundy Thursday service.
It follows similar demonstrations in places visited by the monarch in recent months, including Milton Keynes, Colchester andThe protest, organised by campaign group Republic, involved people holding up signs and wearing hoodies reading ‘not my king’.Charles’s trip to York is being held exactly a month before his coronation is due to take place.The King was to arrive with the Queen Consort for the service at the historic church, where he will be distributing the Maundy Money, this morning.
