The individual also appeared to be carrying a flag but dropped it before reaching the playing area, where he made it 20 yards onto the pitch and within a few yards of England forward Lauren Hemp before being floored by security.“They know their rugby round this part of the world and that was a pretty decent tackle,” said BBC co-commentator Rachel Brown-Finnis.
Play had already stopped as England prepared to take a free-kick in the 24th minute, but resumed less than a minute after the protester first reached the pitch.
