BREAKING: Antonio Conte appointed as Tottenham's new manager on 18-month deal
Football Director Fabio Paratici worked with Conte at Juventus and he says the Italian brings great experience to the club.
‘We are delighted to welcome Antonio to the Club. His track record speaks for itself, with vast experience and trophies in both Italy and England,’ said Paratici. ‘I know first-hand the qualities Antonio can bring to us, having worked with him at Juventus, and look forward to seeing his work with our talented group of players.’Spurs’ defeat to United leaves the club on 15 points after ten matches played this term.
The Italian guided Chelsea to the Premier League title during his first season in England in 2016 and he departed the following year, having beaten Manchester United in the FA Cup in his final game in charge. Conte has since guided Inter Milan to the Serie A title, while they lost to Sevilla in the Europa League final.
