Police believe the body had been there 'for some weeks, but maybe as long as a few months'
Police have issued an appeal for help to identify a man whose body was found in woodland on a hillside in Lancashire.
Lancashire Police said despite extensive investigations, officers have not been able to identify who the man is. Detectives believe the body had been there 'for some weeks, but maybe as long as a few months'.The man's death is being treated as 'unexplained', though there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A Home Office post-mortem came back as 'inconclusive' and further tests will be carried to find out how he died.
He is around 5ft 5in tall and described as very thin, weighing 28kg. He may have had a beard and/or moustache and had short dark greying hair.
