Two cherry-pickers were caught in action at George Square as Glasgow Loves Christmas workers put up festive lights.
The highly anticipated ballot winners who will get to attend the launch of Glasgow's festive season will be announced today as the city prepares for Christmas.
The Glasgow Light Switch On is one of the most popular events of the season and residents must register for a ballot in the hopes of winning free tickets for the event.Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, Glasgow Loves Christmas uses a ballot system in lieu of a first-come-first-serve ticket system, which they say is more fair and impartial.
If applicants are unsuccessful when the winners are announced on Thursday, October 27, they may still have a chance of winning returned tickets in a second ballot, the date of which hasn't been confirmed yet.
