One man is being treated for serious injuries
A man in his 40s has been arrested in Strabane after a crash involving a lorry and a motorcycle left another man with serious injuries.The PSNI and Northern Ireland Ambulance attended the scene of the crash, with a 41-year-old arrested on suspicion of careless driving and causing grievous bodily harm.Another man was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries sustained to his leg.
“Police, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, attended the scene of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a lorry on Meetinghouse Street in Strabane just after 12.35pm today, Friday 28 April,” a PSNI statement said. “One man was taken to hospital for treatment for serious leg injuries and a second man, aged 41 years, was arrested on suspicion of careless driving causing grievous bodily harm.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage that could assist with enquiries, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 856 of 28/04/23.”“The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 12:36 on Friday, 28 April 2023 following reports of an RTC in the Meetinghouse Street Area, Strabane.“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital by ambulance.
