Police received reports on the morning of Wednesday, December 21, about males in a white van being involved in thefts and attempted thefts from three businesses in the Sydenham and Ormeau Road areas, where gas canisters, boat engines and parts were stolen.A member of the public later reported a suspicious van had been parked up and after officers attended the vehicle, it was examined and seized with a number of suspected stolen items being recovered.
Local Policing Team Inspector Tori Anderson explained: “Early yesterday morning, police received a number of reports about males in a white van, being involved in thefts and an attempted theft from three business premises in the Sydenham and Ormeau Road areas of Belfast, in which gas canisters, boat engines and parts were stolen.
