Palestinians holding foreign passports wait for permission to leave Gaza through the Rafah crossing amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas The Palestinian border authority published a list containing 92 Britons from a total of 127 in the UK cohort, many of them children,Mr Ghalayini, a former civil servant from Manchester, went to the Rafah crossing on Wednesday but was not on the evacuation list.

“One of my nephew’s is four months old. His name is on the evacuation list, but his mother’s is not,” he told Sky News. “I’m a bit relieved that at least my parents and some of my family will be able to get to safety, but I’m still worried about the rest,” he added.
