An Asda employee has been showered with praise online for his response to finding a shopper's expensive 60-year-old Rolex watch.
Hayley, the store's replenishment manager, said the customer became emotional when he was told about Pete's honest actions as the watch held many special memories for him.Said Hayley: "Pete was looking at his monitors and spotted something shiny on the floor by the checkouts – and it turned out to be a Rolex watch.
Pete has now been nominated for an Asda service superstar award, with Hayley saying: "Pete is a very kind-hearted colleague, who is very old-school. He will do anything for customers and colleagues." Helen Dulson wrote: "So fantastic to hear such a wonderful story, I hope he was rewarded for his kindness. Well done , it makes you have faith that there are some good people about."
