BREAKING: Baby airlifted to Manchester hospital after falling from second-floor window

A one-year-old child was rushed to a hospital in Manchester after falling from a second floor window on Sunday morning .

Police and paramedics were called to the scene on Heap Street in Burnley, Lancashire, to reports that a baby had fallen from a window on the second floor of a property shortly after 10.30am. A number of people rushed to help the child, a one-year-old boy, after he fell before an air ambulance airlifted him to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with serious injuries.An investigation has been launched by Lancashire Constabulary and police are appealing for witnesses and to locate several people who stopped to help the baby before crews arrived.

DI Mark Saunders said: “First and foremost, my thoughts are with the family at this distressing time. We know following the incident, there were people who thankfully stopped to help.Anyone with information or CCTV footage that could help police is asked to contact 101 quoting log 0497 of August 6.
