Bake Off: The Professionals put Manchester chefs under pressure
Two top-level pastry chefs from one of Manchester's best-loved bakeries have made a stressful appearance on Bake Off: The Professionals. Caroline and Martin from Manchester's Bisou Bisou appeared beside four other duos to whip up something special on Tuesday's episode.
Presenters Liam Charles and Ellie Taylor challenged Caroline and Martin alongside the other teams to produce 36 perfect Prinsesstårta - a traditional Swedish cake. The contestants were then asked make one chocolate amenity, a highly-sophisticated sculpture of their own design.
"We did a couple of challenges watching the old series. We set ourselves and hour and a half to make a plated dessert that had four different elements to it," Caroline said. Banoit added: "But we've got 36 little roses standing on the top. Missing, though, is the little piping of the cream."
