In a surprise announcement, Larian Studios' Swen Vincke has revealed that Baldur's Gate 3 will launch on Xbox Series X|S later this year.
, Larian Studios wasn't sure Baldur's Gate 3 would be ready for Xbox this year. However, the studio's boss, Swen Vincke, has now announced that after a conversation with Xbox boss Phil Spencer, Baldur's Gate 3 will indeed launch on Xbox consoles later this year, but the Series S version will not feature split-screen co-op.
For those who decided not to wait and purchased Baldur's Gate 3 on Steam, the cross-save progression could be an important feature, as it'll allow you to pick up where you left off if you decide to purchase the game on Xbox.
