Council set to take action on dangerous swimming spot 🚫 🏊
A ban on open-water swimming at the Ashby Ville Nature Reserve is being sought by North Lincolnshire Council, two years after a teenager drowned there.
The council had sought stronger measure that would have seen fines imposed without warning – though with exceptions for open-water swimming clubs, or where a landowner had given permission. He said: “We looked to strengthen the powers available to stop people swimming in dangerous open water courses.
