A Nottingham bar that doesn't 'shout about itself' has been catapulted into the spotlight after being named one of the best in the UK. Cottonmouth, in Hockley, has made it into a list of the Top 50 Cocktail Bars.
The rankings, one to 50, will be revealed at a ceremony in London on February 7. Bar owner Adrian Whitehouse doesn't know who put Cottonmouth forward for recognition.He said: "Being included in the Top 50 Cocktail Bars list was a big surprise for us and we're very excited. It’s always great to be recognised by your peers and fellow professionals, especially on a national scale.
"We’ve got a lot of essential experience behind us, which we feel is vital in making a great venue. We know that great drinks are important, of course, but what we believe matters most is allowing our guests to feel welcome, comfortable and at ease so they can fully enjoy the whole experience. This is the core of hospitality and it has been our main focus since we opened our doors five years ago.
