Barbara Walters, the pioneering US TV news anchor who was renowned for her exclusive interviews with the famous and powerful, has died at the age of 93
Tributes have been pouring in for the broadcasting legend. Oprah Winfrey described her as “such a powerful and gracious role model,” while journalist Dan Rather said: “Journalism has lost a pillar of professionalism, courage and integrity.” He added: “Barbara Walters was a trailblazer and a true pro. She outworked, out-thought and out-hustled her competitors.”
