Lincolnshire’s film lovers displayed their Ken-ergy on the opening weekend of Barbenheimer, with cinemas across the county reporting record footfall.

More than 3,000 tickets were sold across the weekend at the cinema, with ten screenings of Barbie and five of Oppenheimer.“Barbie, for sure,” said Doc De Ruiter, manager at Everyman Lincoln. Philip Jones, General Manager at Kinema in the Woods, described Barbie as “excellent and very funny” with an “interesting take” on the iconic lead character.“There was an awful lot of pink”, he said. “We had loads of big groups coming in matching pink costumes, and even our staff joined in by wearing pink across the weekend.
