A Glasgow actress set to come home for a screening of the new Barbie movie, in which she is a cast member, has boycotted the event due to strike action in the Hollywood film industry.The Scottish star was due to appear at the Glasgow Film Theatre this weekend for the 4.30pm screening of the long-awaited blockbuster, due to be released in the UK on Friday, July 21.
Glaswegian star Sharon, also known for playing Sophie O'Neal in the popular sitcom Two Doors Down, is playing the role of Lawyer Barbie.She has cancelled her city appearance on Saturday, July 22, due to the Screen Actors Guild strike which is seeing writers and actors across Hollywood man picket lines to demand better contracts.
