Coimbatore Sundararajan Venkatakrishnan, known as Venkat within the bank, says he will continue to be"actively engaged" in running the business during his treatment, which is expected to last up to 16 weeks.The chief executive of Barclays has been diagnosed with cancer, the bank has said.
That was expected to last between 12 and 16 weeks, during which time he will work at home for some periods.
