Barrow woman Ellie Williams accused of 'making up evidence' says she did not want to involve police when she claimed to have been raped
A woman accused of lying and making up evidence about being sex trafficked and raped by a number of men has told a court she did not want to involve the police.
However in May 2019, Williams claimed Mr Trengrove barged into her flat in Steamer Street, Barrow, after a night out and raped her for a second time. She described a violent struggle in which Mr Trengrove hit her with a shower head and smacked her in the head. The court heard how in 2017 Williams also withdrew her support for a prosecution against Callum Bibby, who she said had raped her at a party. Williams told the court she had no memory of having sex but had been sent several messages telling her she had been "drugged, mugged and f***ed".“No”, replied Williams.
