BREAKING: Harry Kane has completed his highly-anticipated transfer from Tottenham to Bayern Munich for a fee upwards of €100million (£86.4m).
captain has signed a four-year contract with the Bundesliga giants, bringing to an end perhaps the biggest transfer saga of the summer.
Though he had hoped to help end Spurs’ own trophy drought, the turmoil the club have found themselves in since the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino in 2019 meant thatInterest in the 30-year-old was unsurprisingly high, with Manchester United initially leading the race for his signature ahead of Real Madrid and PSG.
That lead to United dropping out and clearing the way for Bayern, who saw several bids rejected before an offer was finally accepted on the eve of the new season.Even then, it seemed as if Kane would U-turn and stay in north London after all, before deciding to make the move, with Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel crucial in persuading the Three Lions superstar to come to Germany.
