BBC boss hints at LineOfDuty return as viewers demand another series
A BBC boss has hinted that Line of Duty may make a comeback after Sunday night’s finale episode broke viewing records.
The explosive finale, which left some fans furious and confused, pulled in an average of 12.8million viewers – which is a record for the hit show. The BBC big wig also praised the show’s creator Jed Mercurio, who recently said taking part in the series is a "career highlight", and revealed she has plans to speak with the show’s team about its future.
A third added: “I’ve just watched the final two episodes and thoroughly enjoyed them.
