BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent says Carol Kirkwood 'deserve an award' as she faces 'carnage' on air
Sally Nugent joked that her co-star Carol Kirkwood 'deserved an award' as she tackled 'carnage' to deliver her latest weather reports on BBC Breakfast. While Sally and her co-host Jon Kay were live from the Salford-based studio on Wednesday , Carol was out on a special visit.
And after being pulled over by another dog while broadcasting live from Wimbledon earlier this month, Carol visited the Guide Dogs National Centre on Wednesday where she was reunited with Flash and was able to meet a very special pup.Labrador Flash, who was just eight months old when he first came into contact with Carol, has been bred so she can produce life-changing guide dogs of the future. And one of Flash's nine new puppies has been named in Carol’s honour.
Realising what was happening, Carol quipped: "Oops, get off my mic you little monkey.” At the end of the forecast, Jon and Sally could be heard laughing as they praised Carol for not being too distracted by what was happening as she let viewers know what they can expect from the weather. But it seemed as though the 61-year-old Carol didn’t mind as she continued to play with the puppies which she called "adorable". Jon then joked: "Have you been using that meat-flavoured shampoo again?"
